it started with this foto I saw on Flickr

so i needed two models : one undercarriage from a AC 1600 and the upperstructure of one AC 500 SSL (this is a picture from the AC 1600 i build a few years ago and is still standing in one piece )

and

the first attempt was this

so after demontage off the ac500 and letting the parts swim in a bucket with thinner was this the result

After seeing the picture on FLICKR I posted one question on bouwmachineforum to requier the AC1600 and a member responded that he had one for me. this happend to be the photographer of the first picture
The upperstructure off the AC 1600 that i bought last year at Ede Modelshow and the SSL i bought from a fellow member off bouwmachineforum came in handy now.

after thinking how to extend de main mast I made a piece from brass and solderd it

so after cutting the mast I could try to fit it and it fitted perfectly

after gluing the mast together , you can see in the picture below ,
I had to paint some parts of the undercarriage and this is the result

combining undercarriage and upperstructure gave this result
